we took a vacation to NJ & NC last week - hey, since when did NJ become "vacation" rather than "home?" weird stuff right there. i really don't know what else to say about this trip other than, it was just wonderful. it is so nice to have our family together in one place - we all live in different parts of the country and world, so despite valiant efforts - we don't really get everyone together in one place more than once a year if we're lucky. i really can't even get over how nice it was to be with everyone. families are so humbling & i really miss how... just normal i feel when i'm with them all. the fam had been planning the "Boone in June" trip since last year and we added a trip home to LBI to round out a full week of vacation time! half the week at the beach in NJ and half the week in the mountains of NC - what more could you ask for right? i'm still on a high from it all really.

some of my favorite things - that beer tap with the cute sailor man at my dads new favorite restaurant, the old causeway - its seriously the place to be at home & he helped with all the lighting in the joint. the water at home was the most blue that i have ever seen it. i love love love that picture of my mom on the porch, she was over the moon happy the whole trip. it rained on the last day in Boone - the fog was really thick and the little town we shopped around was gloomy, but oh so charming.
