we have been dying to get on some water all summer! it has been such a good season out here - but, the one thing we really miss is swimming! today, we went boating on a very good looking reservoir & got the full lake day experience with wake boarding, water skiing & surfing. Colb & i fell a few times trying to get up on the surf board, but we figured it out & i'm hoping to try again soon. Bryer picked up right where he left off with wake boarding - he's got some skills & so does his mom & all his aunts - all the ladies got up on one water ski right away - they said they hadn't skied in 15 plus years. the water was just warm enough and it was the perfect way to spend a summer sunday. boating on a lake is much like boating on the bay, except you don't have the salty skin left over from the bay water. i love the feeling of salt on my skin after a day spent on a boat - but, fresh water really grew on me after this one.
